The Social Development Strategy PDF Print E-mail

The Social Development Strategy (SDS) promotes healthy behaviour in our community's children so they can become healthy, productive, contributing members of our community.

Healthy behaviours develop when young people are surrounded by healthy beliefs and clear standards. Kids are motivated to follow the standards you set for their behaviour, if they feel attached and committed to you - in other words, if they've bonded to you.

When we provide young people with age-appropriate opportunities, so they can be involved and contribute in a meaningful way.

When we give them the opportunity to develop new skills or perfect the skills they have in order to be successful.

Then, we need to recognize their efforts, their progress and their accomplishments.

This is how our community can support and protect our young people.
